These three paperweights were made at Kimble Glass Company located in Vineland New Jersey. All three have ground pontils. I acquired these from Mary Smith whose husband, Frank, worked there. He had brought them home to her from work, I believe in the 1960's. All are around 3" in diameter and about 2 1/8" high.
I believe another example if a Millville weight made between 1890 and 1912. Fire polished pontil, 3 1/4" dia X 2 3/4" high.
A signed WPA paperweight. Made around 1939 at the Works Progress Administration in Vineland or Millville. It is 2 5/8" dia and 2" high.
This is a very un-usual weight! I took it to the American Glass Museum in Millville and the curator was un-able to tell me anything about it. Said she had never seen on like it before. The design appears to have been made out of moss and bark? 4" in dia. And only 1 3/4" high. Any information please let me know!
I have attributed this weight to Millville because of the color glass and the color of the chips used. The leaf and stem is lampwork. 2 1/2" dia X 2 5/8" tall.
A very rare weight. This is an umbrella Toothpick paperweight. I have also heard of it referred to as a Waterfall weight. Attributed to Millville but not sure of the artist who made it. Fire finished pontil, it is 4 3/4" tall by 3 1/4 dia.
